Abstract
|
This paper has three main purposes. First (and I apologise in advance to anyone for whom this is going over old ground), I will briefly present the European Community Household Panel (ECHP) and discuss what it can offer to people interested in researching the lives of young Europeans. Second, I will present a range of findings about young people’s lives which have arisen from my research over the past few years using the ECHP. And finally, I will discuss several important methodological issues facing researchers carrying out this type of international comparative research: issues which are also important for anyone reading, interpreting or using such research. |
