2006 Conference

The 2006 Conference of the European Panel Users Network
was held on 8-9 May 2006, Barcelona, Spain
EPUNet 2006 aims to provide an international forum for the exchange of research based on the European Community Household Panel survey (ECHP).
The conference included parallel sessions and a small number of plenary sessions. Submissions of papers were sought on all topics covered by the ECHP, regardless of the disciplinary affiliations of the authors(cross-disciplinary interchange is one of the conference goals). Papers taking cross-national perspectives were preferred and papers about methods were encouraged. Attendance by persons not presenting papers was welcome, subject to the venue's constraints on numbers. There was no conference fee. Contributions towards the travel and accommodation costs of presenters were available.
The conference was hosted by the Department of Social and Political Science, Universidad Pompeu Fabra de Barcelona, who provided local organising services. EPUNet, through its coordinating node at the Institute for Social and Economic Research, University of Essex provided all programme and logistical services. The Programme Committee consisted of the EPUNet Coordinating Committee.
